Joining Equity 2030 Alliance: Z-waka’s Commitment to Gender Equity in Healthcare Education
Global health is in progress but there are still deep gaps, especially for women and girls’ health needs, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Imagine a woman in a remote region, struggling to access basic health education, maternal care, or family planning. The lack of trained healthcare providers, limited resources, and poor infrastructure leave her without the support needed for a healthy, empowered life. These gaps are not just challenges, they are barriers to the potential of countless women and girls.
To help bridge these gaps, Z-waka is thrilled to announce our membership in the Equity2030 Alliance by UNFPA — a global initiative committed to achieving gender equity in science, technology, and financing by 2030. Envisioning a world of infinite opportunities for all, Alliance seeks to build an equitable future by closing gaps and creating more gender-inclusive solutions in science, technology and financing.
Z-waka as a proud member of UNFPAInnovation’s Equity2030 Alliance, we are committed to driving changes through our digital platform solution. We offer accessible, women-centric healthcare education for professionals in underserved regions, with a focus on topics like family planning, sexual and reproductive health, post abortion care, mental health, and non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Our innovative educational tools—including webinars, self-paced courses, community-driven case sharing, and real-time feedback systems—empower healthcare professionals to better serve women in their care.
By working alongside the Equity2030 Alliance, we can create gender-inclusive solutions, empowering women to achieve better health and wellbeing, and ultimately fostering a world where everyone, regardless of gender, has access to the healthcare they need.
